J. B. Mason / E. M. Nee III Memorial Scholarship
This $2,500 scholarship is being offered in memory two 1995 graduates of Valley High School, John ‘J.B.’ Mason and Edward Michael Nee III.
J.B. (1977-2004) was born and raised in New Kensington. He attended H.D. Berkey Elementary, Valley Middle, and Valley High School.
Ed (1976-2014) was born and raised in Arnold, He attended St.Joseph Elementary, Valley Middle, and Valley High School.
The ideal candidate for this scholarship isn’t necessarily the most talented, educated, or genius student in the school.
Rather, we are searching for the student best defined by their persistence and determination.
The ideal candidate for this award is the student whose accomplishments have been born out of hard work, especially in the face of adversity.
Our hope is that the student who receives this scholarship will continue to pursue great things, but will never forget their roots, and be as eager to give back to the New Kensington – Arnold area as J.B. and Ed would have.
